Abstract

The invention relates to a method for decoding video, a method for encoding video, and a video decoding device. The method for decoding video as described in the invention includes the following steps: generating a list of candidate merges for the current block; determining the candidate merge for the current block from among the candidates included in the list of candidate merges; inferring the complement vector for the current block; and inferring the motion vector for the current block by adding the complement vector to the motion vector of the candidate merge.
