Abstract

Wireless communication refers to the methods and equipment used by users to communicate wirelessly. In some respects, user equipment (UE) can transmit to another UE a location request associated with a procedure to determine the UE's location, where the location request includes sublink communication between the first sidelink location management component (S-LMC) of the UE and the second S-LMC of the other UE, where the first and second S-LMCs include sub-functions associated with the xc protocol layer; and receive location reports combined with procedures to determine the location of the UE, wherein the location report includes indications of the UE's location based at least in part on determination by the sub-link location management function. The invention also addresses many other aspects.
