Abstract

The patent addresses user privacy, wireless communication methods, and immutable storage media. The user equipment (UE) is configured to connect to a 5G New Radio (NR) network covering one or more frequency bands by using dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) technology with the Long Term Evolution (LTE) network transmitting the LTE positioning reference signal (PRS). The UE can receive LTE PRS rate matching information from the NR network. The LTE PRS configuration data or LTE PRS rate matching pattern is used. The UE can decode and process data and control signals (NR) transmitted by the NR network while LTE PRS is transmitted by matching the LTE PRS rate around the network based on the LTE PRS rate matching information. The LTE PRS interrupt pattern can be adjusted based on the data or control signal (NRj), and the UE can receive and process data and control signals (NRj) transmitted while LTE PRS is interrupted.
