Equipment and methods for reducing leakage current

Abstract

The invention relates to a device and method for reducing leakage current. The device comprises a switching circuit configured to supply power to the circuit block; a delay circuit configured to delay the activation of the switching circuit supplying power to the circuit block and to delay the power being cut off; and a branch circuit configured to bypass the delay circuit in order to disable the switching circuit supplying power to the circuit block. The method involves a step of supplying power to the circuit block via a switch; interrupting the power supply via a delay circuit; and bypassing the branch circuit and delay circuit to disable the switch from supplying power to the circuit block.
