Random wireless access method and user device

Abstract

The invention relates to a method of random wireless access and user equipment. Occasionally during wireless communication, a random access procedure needs to be implemented. The random access procedure described herein can reduce latency and / or signaling load compared to a step-by-step random access procedure. Furthermore, several issues related to the two-step random access procedure have been identified and addressed through various implementation strategies, such as: how to specify resources for linking permissions; how to switch to a four-step random access procedure if necessary; and / or how to contain user equipment (UEs) that are incapable of performing the two-step random access procedure. The UEs capable of performing the procedure have also been revealed.
