Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the degradation of a plastic product containing at least one polymer, which includes a step of foaming at least one part of the plastic product; and a step of depolymerizing at least one target polymer in the partially foamed plastic product, wherein the foaming step is carried out at a temperature at which the plastic product is in a partially or completely molten state.
