Abstract

The invention relates to an artificial intelligence (AI) system using machine learning algorithms and its applications. The method for controlling the electronic device according to the invention includes the steps of receiving image data and information associated with a set of filters applied to an artificial intelligence model to upscale the image data from an external server; decoding the image data; upscaling the decoded image data using a first-generation artificial intelligence model based on information associated with the set of filters; and providing the upscaled image data as output.
