Abstract

The invention relates to a method for encoding and decoding multi-channel audio signals, and an audio signal encoding apparatus (1100). This is capable of reducing the bit size of the multi-channel information, so that the stored bits can be allocated to another functional module of the encoder, to improve the quality of the reconstructed audio signal of the decoder side and improve the encoding quality.
