Methods for determining the location, user devices, and immutant storage media

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining the location of a user device and an immutable storage medium. The user equipinent (UE) is configured to identify the location receiving positional assistance data from a position receiver dedicated to the positioning method and to provide information relating to the priority level of one or more of the following frequency classes, transmission point (TRP), Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) resource set, and PRS resources or a combination thereof. Localization support data can be generated by the host in response to the UE's measurement capabilities. The UE determines the priority level for PRS measurements based on at least one or more of the information order for frequency classes, TRPs, PRS resource sets, or PRS resources in the localization support data, or a combination of evidence and localization methods. Downlink PRS is measured by the UE based on the priority level.
