The invention relates to a first electronic device, a method of operation of a first electronic device, a second electronic device, and a method of operation of a second electronic device for performing distance measurements by means of ultra-wideband communication. How does the first electronic device operate to perform distance measurement using ultra-wideband (UWB) communication? This operating method includes the following steps: transmitting information to the second electronic device, the distance measurement control panel including the first block's jump information; in the case of operation in jump mode, the jump value is determined based on the first block's jump information; and perform distance measurement with a second electronic device based on the information from the first block jump and the jump value.
