Abstract

This invention relates to a method for decoding video that may include the following steps: decoding information indicating whether a non-zero transformation coefficient is present in the current block, when information indicates that a non-zero transformation coefficient is present in the current block, determining the scan order of the current block, and decoding the transformation coefficient contained in the current block in the determined scan order. This invention also relates to a method for encoding video and a computer-readable, invariant means.
