Abstract

Methods and equipment for monitoring and managing the operation of the cargo handling system and facilities (100) are revealed. The equipment includes a data analysis unit (1104) to: monitor the first data to report whether any tractor-trailer (300) is present at the port (102) of the cargo handling area (100); and monitor the second data to report the conditions attached to the gate at the port (102), the second data is different from the first data. The device also includes a notification generator to create notifications based on first and second data.
