Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for managing and distributing orders for pieces of glass or sheets of glass. This system comprises a client system, a server system, a processing center, and a logistics management unit. The client system is configured to display a list of product information through its user interface. The client system generates a customer ID and purchase request to respond to user selections. The server system receives the purchase request and generates an order ID. The server system transmits the order ID to the processing center. The processing center includes an order cataloging system located in the distribution center to receive the order ID. The order cataloging system communicates with one or more autonomous robots to automate operations such as loading, unloading, and handling. Furthermore, the order cataloging system transports processed products and updates the shipping status to the customer.
