Abstract

This patent relates to a method for decoding data readable by a computer, electronic device, and storage medium without relaying. The method includes the following steps: receiving, from the bit stream, multiple syntactic elements associated with the code generation unit, where multiple syntactic elements indicate the size of the code generation unit and the type of code generation tree of the code generation unit; determining the minimum color palette mode block size for the code generation unit according to the type of code generation tree of the code generation unit; based on the determination that the size of the code generation unit is larger than the minimum color palette mode block size, then: receiving, from the bit stream, a flag enabling the color palette mode associated with the code generation unit; and decoding, from the bit stream, the flag-based encoding unit enables color grading mode.
