Methods and equipment for determining group latency of the first mobile device

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for determining the group delay of the most mobile device. The proposed techniques are for correcting group delay for low-level UEs by leveraging the relatively high accuracy of R.TT positioning for high-level UEs. This procedure can enable online / on-site group delay correction for low-level UEs, allowing low-level UEs to be corrected as needed. Depending on the desired function, correction techniques may include using RTl measurements with the base station, or RTT measurements between the lower-level UE and the higher-level UE.
