Abstract

The invention relates to a flux containing rosin, terpene phenolic resin, and an activator, the hydroxyl value of the terpene phenolic resin being greater than 70 mgKOH / g, the activator being an organic acid having a solubility parameter (SP value) of 11.00 or greater, or an organic acid expressed by a general formula (1). In formula (1), R! is a chain hydrocarbon group (not a ring hydrocarbon group) with 2 to 15 carbon atoms, a fatty ring hydrocarbon group with 3 to 15 carbon atoms, an aromatic group, or a carboxy group. Here, each chain hydrocarbon group and fatty ring hydrocarbon group has a hydroxy or carboxy group.
