Abstract

The invention relates to an electric arc detection system (100) comprising a first receiver (11), a second receiver (12), and a detector (14). The first receiver (11) receives the measurement of the current (11) flowing in the power line (Ll) to which the power is supplied from the power supply (2) or the measurement of the voltage (VI) in the power line (Ll). The second receiver (12) receives information about the oscillation in the load (31) included in the device (3) connected to the power line (Ll). The detector (14) determines whether an electric arc fault has occurred in the power line (LI) based on the specific frequency band components of the results received by the first receiver (11) and the oscillation information received by the second receiver (12).
