Abstract

The invention relates to a device for escaping from heights, and more specifically, a hand-operated escape winch for high-altitude escape, which is effective for escaping in various situations. The purpose of the invention is to propose a compact, space-saving, and user-friendly hand-operated escape winch with a simple mechanical structure. The above objectives are achieved through a rational arrangement of the overhead emergency hand-operated winch structure, involving the cable drum, coordinating components performing the automatic braking function, and the hand-crank drive mechanism. The cable drum shaft is a screw-threaded shaft, with friction surfaces attached to the cable drum and gears. The gears can be optimized in terms of parameters and shaft spacing to achieve a suitable transmission ratio, allowing for smooth hand-crank operation that is easy for human strength.
