Abstract

This invention proposes a method for linearly compensating the error of the internal oscillator to improve the frame synchronization quality assurance time for 5G base station systems. Using a median filter and a univariate linear regression model, the error of the internal oscillator is calculated with near accuracy. This error is then linearly compensated to increase the self-synchronization time of the 5G base station in general and the internal oscillator in particular. The method has been tested on 5G BBU hardware and yielded good results, thus demonstrating its effectiveness.
