Abstract

Flexible displays in foldable electronic devices may have a screen cover and a display panel that bends around a bending axis. The display panel may have a pixel array configured to display images through the screen cover. The pixels may be made up of thin-array display circuits supported by a flexible display panel backplate. The flexible core can be supported by a screen support that bends around the bending axis. The screen can be configured to allow the display panel to be attached to the screen support while preventing unwanted local distortion of the thin-film display circuit.
