Abstract

The process involves developing a method for managing the burn-off of the organic coating layer created on the moving strip of the roller coating line, a method that includes the following steps: 1) Establish the established gloss value GSi, the established gloss range Rfl, and the proportionality constant K of the predetermined linear mathematical relationship between the wet film temperature before UV treatment and gloss; 2) Collect the wet film temperature T in at least one part of the width of the displacement at the inlet end of the UV treatment device and collect the gloss G; 3) Correct for deviations of the measured gloss G exceeding Ra. This step includes a sub-step to calculate the correction temperature Tc reached by the wet film along the inlet side of the UV treatment device using the formula: Te = T + K (G - G5)
