Converters capable of producing galic acid and methods for producing galic acid

Abstract

The study refers to a transformant capable of producing gallic acid or its salts using sucrose as a raw material and a method for producing gallic acid or its salts using this transformant. The transformant is capable of producing gallic acid or its salts and exhibits enhanced expression of (A) polypeptide with 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate hydroxylase activity, (B) polypeptide with 3-hydroxybenzoate synthase activity, and (C) polypeptide with 3-hydroxybenzate hydroxylase activity.
