Abstract
The invention relates to a method of grinding coal and a system of equipment for grinding coal which can accurately and quickly determine the occurrence of particle size variation of ground coal, specifically the occurrence of large particle size variation of coal caused by internal factors of the grinding mill, such as hammer wear, take appropriate measures to counteract this, and thus reduce the particle size variation of ground coal. When coal is crushed in the mixing tank lines (A) consisting of particle size analyzers from (3a) to (3c) structured to measure the particle size of coal crushed by the crushers from (2a) to (2c), the relationship between the intensity of coal crushing with the crushers from (2a) to (2c) and the particle size of the crushed coal is determined beforehand. Coal is crushed in the air. The crushing intensity of the crushers from (2a) to (2c) is adjusted, on the basis of each of these factors, so that the particle size of the coal measured by the particle size analyzers from (3a) to (3c) becomes equal to the target particle size ratio, and the variation over time in the particle size of the coal measured by the particle size analyzers from (3a) to (3c) with respect to the target particle size ratio is measured. When the variation in coal particle size exceeds the threshold, it is determined that the variation exceeds the threshold due to internal factors of the mills from (2a) to (2c), and the milling method of the mills from (2a) to (2c) is changed.
