Motor coil assembly, camera and equipment including motor coil assembly for optical vibration control

Abstract

The camera includes a motorized vibrating motor (VCM motor) for autofocus (AF) with a lens mount accessory that is mounted in a movable manner. Magnets are attached to the mount, and the AF coil is fixed to the lens mount accessory to create forces that move the lens mount along the optical axis of the lens. The magnets may consist of a first pair of magnets positioned horizontally along the first side of the camera and a second pair of magnets positioned horizontally along the second side of the camera opposite the first side. Optical image stabilization (OIS) consists of an image sensor carrier that is mounted in a movable manner, and OIS coils mounted in a movable manner with the image sensor carrier within the magnetic field of magnets, to create forces that move the image sensor carrier in directions orthogonal to the optical axis.
