Abstract

Illumination refers to methods for decoding and encoding images and media so that they can be read by a computer. This image decoding method includes: determining whether color copying mode is supported for the current tonal range in the image; extracting the contrasting range corresponding to the current tonal range to re-evaluate whether color copying mode is supported for the current tonal range; and obtaining correlation information for color copying mode based on a predefined reference region. and predict the current color intensity by applying the correlation information to the luminance mass that has been colored down.
