Abstract

The invention relates to techniques and systems for capturing self-images in augmented reality environments, specifically machines and methods for capturing self-images in augmented reality environments. In some examples, the system captures the posture of the user in the augmented reality system. The user's posture includes the user's position in each real-world environment associated with the augmented reality system. The system also creates a digital representation of the user. The digital representation of the user reflects the user's posture. The system captures one or more frames of the real-world environment and overlays the user's digital representation onto one or more frames of the real-world environment.
