Abstract
The invention proposes a method for creating chroma blocks of video signals, electronic devices, computer-readable storage media, and a method for receiving bit streams. Specifically, the method of decoding video data by creating a multimodel linear model (MMLM) includes a first linear model between the minimum brightness value and the threshold brightness value, and a second linear model between the threshold brightness value and the maximum brightness value from a group of reference brightness samples and a group of reference color samples; and reconstruct the corresponding sample value of the chroma block from a weighted combination of the first corresponding reconstructed sample value of the brightness block using a multi-model linear approach and the second corresponding reconstructed sample value of the neighboring chroma block from the internal prediction mode.
