Abstract
The invention proposes a method for decoding video, a computing device, and a storage medium capable of reading non-temporal computer tape to overcome the problem of forward-mapped encoding bit length introduced by Luma Mapping with Chroma Scaling (LMCS). In one method, predicted patterns are obtained, in the mapped domain, of the brightness component of the Coding Unit (CU) encoded using a Combined Inter and Intra Prediction (CITP) mode within the LMCS framework; The residual samples, within the mapped domain, of the brightness component of the obtained CU, and the predicted samples within the mapped domain are added to the residual samples within the mapped domain, creating reconstructed samples, within the mapped domain, of the brightness component. These reconstructed samples of the brightness component are then transformed from the mapped domain back to the original domain based on predetermined inverse mapping scale factors.
