Abstract

The invention relates to a method and machine for processing video data and a computer-readable, unreadable storage medium. The proposed computer-readable systems, methods, and storage media are for the operation of a decoded picture buffer (DPB) and recording of access unit delimiters (AUDs) after extracting the bit stream. An example of this method might involve storing one or more images associated with an access unit (AU) in a decoded image buffer (DPB), where the AU comprises multiple initial images. The first set of images corresponds to multiple video encoding layers; after each of the second set of images close to the AU is removed from the coded picture buffer (CPB), at least one of the images is removed from the DPB; and each of the second set of images removed from the CPB is stored in the DPB.
