Abstract

The invention relates to a method for stripping a liner from a sheet made of a pre-impregnated, uncured fiber-reinforced polymer, including a step of orienting the sheet in the direction of liner stripping relative to the edge fitting tool. The method also includes a step of positioning the sheet in the liner stripping position relative to the edge fitting tool. This method also includes moving the edge-jointing tool, while the impregnation is in the orientation of separating the liner and the liner separation position, so that the liner-jointing detail of the edge-jointing tool engages with the liner, only at a portion of the liner edge, and only a portion of the liner edge separates from the impregnation. This method also includes clamping the liner edge, and, when clamped, moving the liner relative to the sheet so that the entire liner separates from the sheet. The invention also relates to an automated system for peeling the underlayer from the sheet and a method for creating a layered structure.
