Systems and methods for coke making and treatment of coke furnace exhaust gases

Abstract

The invention proposes a system and method for coke production and flue gas treatment. This system includes a coke production unit, an oxygen supply unit, a gas supply unit, a flow regulator, a gas activator, and a gas treatment unit. According to the invention, the flow regulator can adjust the oxygen concentration in the combustion support gas by adjusting the gas flow so that the oxygen concentration in the combustion support gas is greater than the oxygen concentration in the air. Therefore, oxygen-rich combustion can be achieved, the production of nitrogen oxides in coke oven flue gas can be reduced, and carbon dioxide in the flue gas after combustion is enriched, facilitating the capture and utilization of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide and water vapor in coke oven flue gas are treated by gas activators and gas processors to obtain syngas. Syngas can be used as a raw material for chemical applications. Therefore, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced, emissions are transformed into wealth, low carbon emission reductions are achieved, and green production is attained.
