Abstract

The invention relates to a high-density (35a) wire matrix made of cellulose fibers, which is a gas-blocking material in layered packaging (30) for packaging oxygen-sensitive products, and further relates to such high-density (35) wire mats coated with enhanced gas-blocking properties. The invention also relates to layered packaging materials (30) comprising high-density paper sheets or high-density coated paper sheets, and packaging containers comprising layered packaging materials, for the purpose of packaging oxygen-sensitive products.
