Abstract

The designation refers to user equipment and base stations. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication described in the base station may configure user equipment (UE) with a low-latency mode indicator indicating one or more retransmission timelines or different looping techniques associated with the communication that are not associated with the low-latency mode indicator. The base station can provide low-latency mode information in downlink control information (DCI), which can include allocating resources to uplink resources for uplink communication, such as for UE communication in extended reality (XR) applications. A low-latency mode indicator may signal that no retransmission of an uplink communication will be transmitted, that different retransmission times are permitted for low-latency mode communications, that retransmissions may occur based on a specific time stream defined by one or more timers, or any combination thereof.
