Operating methods for user and base station equipment

Abstract

The invention relates to a method of operating user equipment and base stations. In one respect, the base station (BS) acquires at least one neural network function created to enable the user equipment (UE) to infer the capability of at least one set of localization features contained in the candidate localization estimation set for the UE, at least one neural network function dynamically generated based on machine learning in conjunction with one or more historical localization procedures. The BS transmits at least one neural network function to the UE. In other words, the UE receives localization data associated with the UE's position (e.g., local to the UE, or remotely from the BS). The UE determines its localization estimate based at least in part on the localization data and at least one neural network function.
