Abstract
The invention proposes a device and method for removing material from a battery electrode plate, for removing the coating material from a defined area of the battery electrode plate. The battery electrode plate comprises a current collector and the coating material is attached to the surface of the current collector. The device for removing material from the battery electrode plate comprises a positioning unit, an injection gate, and an suction gate. The positioning unit comprises a side plate. The material is identified by the side plate. The impregnated side is configured to contact the flow collector, separating the coating material of the defined area within the void. The spray port is located within the void and configured to connect to a liquid source to spray liquid onto the coating material of the defined area. The suction port is located within the void and configured to connect to a vacuum device to suck the coating material of the defined area out of the flow collector.
