Methods for decoding video data, electronic devices, and computer-readable storage media

Abstract

The term "video decoding" refers to the methods used to decode video data, electronic devices, and storage media readable by computers. Electronic devices perform the video data decoding process. This process includes the steps of receiving and capturing video data. The Adaptation Parameter Sct (APS) is linked to a previously used Cross-Component Sample Adaptive Ofset (CCSAO) set of offsets stored in the APS; it receives, from the data, the syntax in the Picture Header (PH) or Slice Header (SH) that indicates which APS identifier is to be used for the current image or slice; and it decodes. For the current coding tree unit (CTU), the filter set index that the CCSAO filter deviation indicator was previously used specifically determines the number of deviation sets in the APS associated with the APS identifier; and applies the previously used CCSAO filter deviation set specifically to the current CTU of the video data.
