METHODS FOR INDICATING RESOURCE UNITS, COMMUNICATION DEVICES, AND CHIPS

Abstract

The invention proposes a method for indicating the resource unit, communication device, chip, and storage media readable by a computer. In one method, the resource allocation subfield in the excitation frame includes a frequency range indicator and a resource unit indicator. The resource unit indicator is used to indicate the MRU allocated to the MRU. The frequency range indicator is used to indicate the frequency range within which the RU in the MRU is located. For example, the frequency range indicator Ξ0 is used to indicate 80 MHz within which the smallest RU in the MRU is located. In this way, the frequency range indicator indicates the frequency range relative to the MRU, and may carry more information. For example, the frequency range within which the smallest RU is located. It is understood that the invention can be applied to 802.11ax, 802.1 Ibe, and future Wi-Fi systems.Compared to the current method where the indicator only shows the lowest frequency range associated with the MRU, the number of indicators that need to be indicated by the resource unit indicator is reduced, thereby reducing signal transmission losses in the system.
