Abstract

The invention relates to a fiber optic strip, a fiber optic connector, and a method for producing a fiber optic connector. A fiber optic strip consists of many optical fibers, each fiber comprising: a glass fiber with a core and a cladding surrounding the core; and a plastic coating surrounding the glass fiber. Many optical fibers are arranged in parallel. In the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers, the distance between the centers of the interconnected optical fibers in the many optical fibers is greater than the outer diameter of each of the many optical fibers.
