Abstract

This invention relates to a method, apparatus, system, and mechanism for identifying ports and storage media readable by a computer, and belongs to the field of fiber optic communication techniques. This method is applied to passive optical networks (PON), where the PON comprises at least one level of splitter and at least one optical network terminal (ONT), and the wavelengths of the test light reflected by the reflective components of different ports of the same splitter are different.
