HIGH-TEMPERATURE INSULATED SUPPORTS AND HIGH-TEMPERATURE THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS

Abstract

The invention relates to a high-temperature and insulating support and a high-temperature thermal energy storage system. The invention describes a high-temperature thermal energy storage system using electric heating elements to charge a heat-retaining core made of carbon-based material. An insulating and high-temperature support is used to support the electric heating element. The components are designed to extend the high-temperature service life of the heat-retaining core with frequent heating cycles. The heat-retaining core, made of carbon-based or graphite material, is electrically conductive. The insulating and high-temperature support reduces leakage current loss while generating high mechanical strength and efficiently transferring heat from the electric heating element to the heat-retaining core. The contact surface of the insulating and high-temperature support and the electric heating element is limited while still generating effective mechanical support.The high-temperature and insulation removal unit and the heating unit are installed in a manner that allows for the arrangement and positioning of the high-temperature and insulation removal unit on the heating unit.
