Abstract

The invention relates to a method by which a wireless communication device of a user equipment (UE) and a base station can receive, from the base station / TRP, configuration for a burst pair consisting of UL and DL bursts and transmit RACH messages via the UL burst while receiving DL messages via the DL burst. The UE and / or base station / TRP can be configured to operate in FD mode. In respects, the UE can transmit the RACH preamble based on the first transmission mode. After a measured threshold time from the RACH preamble transmission, the UE can retransmit the RACH preamble based on the second transmission mode.
