Abstract

The invention relates to a black ultraviolet radiation unit (50) that can be fitted into an air conditioner (10) comprising an indoor fan (20) and an air conditioner controller (15) which controls the operation of the indoor unit (20), and an ultraviolet radiation unit (50) comprising a light source (51) that irradiates the indoor unit (20) with ultraviolet (UV) rays, and a light source controller (52) which is capable of communicating with the air conditioner controller (15) and controlling the operation of the light source (51), wherein the light source controller (52) turns on the power of the light source (51) upon receiving the first signal (Sl) transmitted from the air conditioner controller (15).
