AMMONIA SYNTHESIS EQUIPMENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AMMONIA GAS PRODUCTS

Abstract

The ammonia synthesis process and equipment includes an ammonia synthesis converter and a downstream ammonia cooling system. The ammonia synthesis converter is designed to generate the ammonia synthesis gas, which includes hydrogen and nitrogen, to produce the ammonia product gas stream and the ammonia exhaust gas stream. The ammonia cooling system includes: - an ammonia evaporator to vaporize the liquid ammonia stream and produce an ammonia vapor stream; - an exhaust gas cleaning unit to clean the ammonia exhaust gas stream by adding water as a buffer, creating a water stream and an ammonia-depleted exhaust gas stream; - an absorption cooler containing water to cool the ammonia vapor stream and collect the condensed ammonia-water stream. - The regeneration units created from the condensed ammonia-water stream mentioned include: the pure water stream, the liquid ammonia stream mentioned, and the top ammonia gas stream.
