The invention relates to systems, devices, machines and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for multi-layer projection techniques for augmented reality. The display processor can acquire a graphic data layer comprising multiple virtual objects. Each of the multiple virtual objects can be associated with at least one bounding box among the multiple bounding boxes. The display processor can also acquire metadata indicating at least one edge of at least one bounding box among the multiple bounding boxes and metadata corresponding to projection commands associated with each of the multiple bounding boxes. The display processor can project multiple virtual objects based on metadata indicating at least one edge of at least one bounding box and metadata corresponding to projection commands. Specifically, the invention relates to a display machine and method.
