WIRELESS TRANSMITTER / RECEIVER (WTRU) TO NETWORK

Abstract

The system and methods described in this document allow for the detection and selection of WTRU relay devices to the network via remote WTRUs and the processing of WTRU relay device configuration updates. The WTRU relay device can transmit a service type indicating its availability or conditional availability based on the WTRU relay device's partition configuration. The WTRU relay device can update the transmission of the service type or indicate its conditional availability based on updates to the WTRU relay device's partition configuration. The WTRU relay device can forward traffic between one or more separate remote WTRUs and core network nodes via a WTRU relay device. The WTRU relay device can reuse an existing PDU session for forwarded traffic or send a PDU session establishment request to the network with FDl session parameters.J is required depending on whether the session parameters related to the existing PDU session match the remote WTRU PDU session requirements.
