Abstract

This invention relates to a backlight unit and a display device containing it. The backlight unit is to be made which contains: a base frame; a light source above the base frame; an optical plate above the light source; and a support between the base frame and the optical plate, and is configured to support the optical plate. The support contains: a clamping part clamped to the base frame, a support in contact with the optical plate, and a body between the clamping part and the support. The body contains: a first part extending in the first direction; a second part extending in the first direction and between the first part and the clamping part; and a third part connecting the first and second parts. The first and second parts are set apart from each other.
