POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS USED FOR AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Abstract

The invention proposes a positioning system and positioning method for aerial imagery. The positioning method includes: receiving the first and second aerial images; performing first object detection to obtain the first boundary frame in the first aerial image and the second boundary frame in the second aerial image; evaluating whether the first and second boundary frames match; to ensure the match of the first and second boundary frames, based on the first and second boundary frames, combining the first and second aerial images to create a composite image; merging the composite image into an electronic map to update the electronic map; performing second object detection on the updated electronic map to obtain the target boundary frame; and outputting location information associated with the target boundary frame.
