Abstract

The invention relates to symplosaponin compounds with the following formulas (1) to (4): and a method for isolating these compounds from the species Symplocos cochinchinensis. The symplosaponin compounds according to the invention have activity in inhibiting the growth of liver cancer cells. The symplosaponin compounds and the method for isolating these compounds according to the invention are useful in providing a scientific basis for applied research aimed at creating products with therapeutic / supportive effects on cancer treatment.
