Abstract

This invention relates to a display device comprising: a textured display plate for displaying images; a textured backlight assembly for placement below the display plate and for emitting light; and a textured optical path control assembly for placement between the display plate and the backlight assembly and for comprising a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light-transmitting layer placed between the first and second electrodes. The light-transmitting layer comprises: a baffle; and receivers which are made in the shape of a pyramid in the baffle and in which the scattered particles are dispersed.
