[0042] The technical solutions of the embodiments of this disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some embodiments of this disclosure, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments obtained by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of this disclosure are within the scope of protection of this disclosure.
[0043] The display device disclosed herein can be applied to any terminal with display function, such as mobile phone, flat panel display, computer, and television monitor. The display device can be any device that displays images, whether moving (e.g., video) or fixed (e.g., still image), and whether it is text or picture.
[0044] In the following text, "display side" refers to the side of a display device or display panel where images are displayed; "non-display panel side" refers to the side of a display device or display panel opposite to the side where images are displayed.
[0045] In some embodiments, the display device includes sensing components. Taking a mobile phone as an example, the display device includes sensing components such as a front-facing camera, a light sensor, and a 3D sensing module. These sensing components need to sense light from the display surface of the display device to achieve corresponding functions. For example, when the front-facing camera in a mobile phone takes an image, it needs to collect light from the object to be photographed located on the front of the phone (i.e., the display surface) to achieve image capture.
[0046] In one related technology, as shown in Figures 1A and 1B, the display panel 11 of the display device 100 has a display area A1 and a non-display area B1. By drilling holes in the display panel 11, a sensing element 2 (e.g., a front-facing camera) is embedded in the drilled holes, so that the sensing element 2 can sense light from the display surface side of the display panel 11.
[0047] In another related technology, as shown in Figures 2A and 2B, the display panel 12 of the display device 200 has a display area A2 and a transparent area B2. The sensing element 2 is disposed on the non-display side of the display panel 12 of the display device 200, and the sensing element 2 is directly opposite the transparent area B2 of the display panel 12, that is, the orthographic projection of the sensing element 2 on the display surface of the display panel 12 is located within the transparent area B2. In this way, light from the display side of the display panel 12 can pass through the transparent area B2 and be sensed by the sensing element 20.
[0048] Both of the above-mentioned sensor component 2 configurations result in areas on the display panel that cannot be displayed, reducing the screen-to-body ratio of the display device. The ratio of the display area to the total area of the display panel cannot reach 100%, thus failing to achieve full-screen display.
[0049] To achieve a high screen-to-body ratio, in some embodiments of this disclosure, as shown in Figures 3A and 3B, the display device 300 includes a display panel 13 and a sensing component 2. The display panel 13 has a sensing component area C1 and a non-sensing component area C2; wherein, the non-sensing component area C2 includes a display area capable of displaying images; the non-sensing component area C2 may, for example, surround or partially surround the sensing component area C1, and the sensing component area C1 is transparent and capable of displaying images. The sensing component 2 is disposed on the non-display side of the display panel 13, and the sensing component 2 is directly opposite the sensing component area C1 of the display panel 13, that is, the orthographic projection of the sensing component 2 onto the display surface of the display panel 13 is within the sensing component area C1.
[0050] The sensing surface of the sensing component 2 faces the display surface side of the display panel 13. Since the sensing component area C1 is transparent, the sensing component 2 can sense light from the display surface side of the display panel 13 through the sensing component area C1, thereby performing corresponding operations. Taking a front-facing camera as an example, the front-facing camera obtains light from the object to be photographed from the display surface side of the display panel 13 through the sensing component area C1, thereby forming an image and capturing an image of the object to be photographed.
[0051] In order to make the sensing component area C1 have a high light transmittance, so that the sensing component 2 disposed on the non-display side of the display panel 13 can sense more light from the display side of the display panel 1 through the sensing component area C1, as shown in Figures 4A and 4B, in some embodiments, the display panel 13 is designed as follows: the display area of the display panel 13 (including the sensing component area C1 and the non-sensing component area C2) includes a plurality of pixels 10, and the plurality of pixels 10 may be arranged in an array, for example.
[0052] To more clearly illustrate the technical solution of this disclosure, region E is defined from the display surface of the display panel 13, and the structure within region E is described below. Figure 4B is a magnified schematic diagram of region E. Region E includes a portion of the non-sensing component region C2 and the sensing component region C1. The "partial portion of the non-sensing component region C2" refers to the area within the non-sensing component region C2 that is adjacent to and surrounding the sensing component region C1. The structure of the region of the non-sensing component region C2 located outside region E can be referenced to the structure of the portion of the non-sensing component region C2 located within region E.
[0053] By reducing the PPI (Pixels Per Inch) of the sensing component area C1, that is, reducing the number of pixels 10 in the sensing component area C1 compared to the non-sensing component area C2, the space occupied by the pixels 10 in the sensing component area C1 is reduced, which makes room for light to pass through, and the sensing component area C1 has a higher light transmittance.
[0054] However, the inventors of this disclosure have discovered through research that:
[0055] Please refer to Figure 4B. The display area of the display panel 13 (taking area E as an example, area E includes a portion of the non-sensing component area C2 and the sensing component area C1) is provided with multiple first traces 20 extending along a first direction and multiple second traces 30 extending along a second direction. The multiple first traces 20 are spaced apart, and the multiple second traces 30 are spaced apart. The first direction and the second direction intersect. For example, the first direction is the column direction of the multiple pixels 10, and the second direction is the row direction of the multiple pixels 10. When the first direction is the column direction and the second direction is the row direction, the first traces include data lines, initialization signal lines, first power lines (Vdd lines), second power lines (Vss lines), etc., and the second traces include gate lines, control lines, common voltage signal lines (Com lines), etc. Since the PPI of the non-sensing component area C2 is high, the arrangement of the first traces 20 is relatively dense, and the spacing between two adjacent first traces 20 is small.
[0056] The routing density of the first trace 20 in the sensing component area C1 is the same as that in the non-sensing component area C2. This is because, for each sub-pixel column containing multiple pixels 10 in the sensing component area C1, the PPI of the C22 and C24 regions in the non-sensing component area C2 must be consistent with the PPI of the C21 and C23 regions in the non-sensing component area C2. Therefore, the routing density of the first trace 20 and the second trace 30 in the C22 and C24 regions of the non-sensing component area C2 must be consistent with the routing density of the first trace 20 and the second trace 30 in the C21 and C23 regions of the non-sensing component area C2. Thus, the routing density of these sub-pixel columns in the sensing component area C1 cannot be reduced due to the decrease in their PPI.
[0057] Thus, when light passes through the sensing element area C1 between the display surface of the display panel 13 and the sensing element 2, the dense arrangement of the multiple first traces 20 in the sensing element area C1 and the small spacing between adjacent first traces 20 may cause diffraction when the light propagates through the gap between adjacent first traces 20, thereby affecting the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing element. Light diffraction refers to the phenomenon where light deviates from its straight-line propagation path and travels around an obstacle or aperture during propagation. The smaller the distance between obstacles or the smaller the aperture, the more pronounced the diffraction. When the aperture's dimensions are comparable to the wavelength of light, the diffraction is extremely severe, and the more pronounced the diffraction during propagation, the dimmer the light becomes.
[0058] Taking the front-facing camera as an example, when the front-facing camera acquires an image through the sensing area C1 of the display panel 13, the front-facing camera needs to acquire the light of the object to be photographed located on the display surface side of the display panel 13 through the sensing area C1. However, due to the dense arrangement of the first wiring 20, optical diffraction will occur when the light passes through the sensing area C1, resulting in inaccurate light information collected by the front-facing camera, which in turn leads to a decrease in the imaging effect of the front-facing camera, such as lower image brightness and poor clarity.
[0059] Based on the above, as shown in Figures 5A and 5B, some embodiments of this disclosure provide an array substrate 131 having a non-sensing component area C2 and a transparent sensing component area C1. Both the sensing component area C1 and the non-sensing component area C2 have display functions, and the non-sensing component area C2 may, for example, surround or partially surround the sensing component area C1.
[0060] The array substrate 131 has a non-sensing component area C2 and a transparent sensing component area C1. When the array substrate 131 is applied to a display device including a sensing component 2, light can be transmitted between the display surface side of the array substrate 131 and the sensing component 2 through the transparent sensing component area C1. That is, light from the display surface side can be sensed by the sensing component 2 through the sensing component area C1.
[0061] The array substrate 131 includes a plurality of first traces 20 extending along a first direction. The plurality of first traces 20 are spaced apart, and the traces of the plurality of first traces 20 that pass through the sensing component region C1 are selected first traces 201; the plurality of selected first traces 201 are divided into at least one group, each group of selected first traces includes at least two adjacent selected first traces 201, and each selected first trace 201 in each group of selected first traces converges in the sensing component region C1 to form a first convergence portion 50.
[0062] For example, as shown in Figure 5A, the first traces numbered L1 to L6 are selected first traces 201. Multiple selected first traces 201 can be divided into three groups. Each group of selected first traces includes two adjacent selected first traces 201. The two selected first traces 201 included in each group converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a first convergence part 50. Thus, the three groups of selected first traces 201 converge in the sensing component area C1 to form three first convergence parts 50.
[0063] For example, referring again to Figure 5A, the selected first traces 201 numbered L1 and L2, as a group of selected first traces, converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a first convergence portion 50; the selected first traces 201 numbered L3 and L4, as a group of selected first traces, converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a first convergence portion 50; the selected first traces 201 numbered L5 and L6, as a group of selected first traces, converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a first convergence portion 50. Taking the two selected first traces 201 numbered L1 and L2 as examples, the selected first trace 201 numbered L2 includes a first portion extending along a first direction and a second portion extending along a second direction. The first portion and the second portion are alternately arranged and connected end-to-end. Through this structure, the selected first trace 201 numbered L2 converges towards the selected first trace 201 numbered L1 in the sensing component area C1 to form a first convergence portion 50. This can be understood as follows: the first gathering section 50 includes the portion of the selected first trace 201, numbered L1, located in the sensing component area C1, and the portion of the selected first trace 201, numbered L2, located in the sensing component area C1. The structures of the other two first gathering sections 50 are similar to those of the aforementioned first gathering section 50, and will not be described again here.
[0064] As shown in Figures 6A to 6C, the array substrate 131 further includes at least one light-shielding strip 40. The at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of first traces 20 away from or close to the display surface of the array substrate 131, and the orthographic projection of each first light-shielding strip 40 on the display surface of the array substrate 131 (i.e., the side of the array substrate 131 configured for display when applied in a display panel) covers the orthographic projection of a first folding portion 50 on the display surface.
[0065] The present embodiment does not limit the position of the at least one first light-shielding strip 50 relative to the plurality of first traces 20, as long as the orthographic projection of each first light-shielding strip 40 on the display surface of the array substrate 131 covers the orthographic projection of a first gathering portion 50 on the display surface. In this way, a first light-shielding strip 40 can block the gap between at least two adjacent selected first traces 201 in a first gathering portion 50, preventing light from passing through the gap between the selected first traces 201 in the first gathering portion 50 and causing diffraction.
[0066] For example, FIG6B shows the case where the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of first traces 20 near the display surface of the array substrate 131, wherein the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of selected first traces 201 away from the substrate 80; FIG6C shows the case where the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of first traces 20 away from the display surface of the array substrate 131, wherein the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of selected first traces 201 near the substrate 80.
[0067] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG6B, at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of selected first traces 201 near the display surface of the array substrate 131. In this way, the fabrication of the first light-shielding strip 40 can be compatible with the fabrication process of the light-shielding pattern for blocking the active layer of the thin-film transistor in the array substrate 131, without the need for an additional step for fabricating the first light-shielding strip 40, thus simplifying the fabrication process of the array substrate 131.
[0068] Please refer to Figure 5B. The at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is disposed on the side of the plurality of first traces 20 away from or close to the display surface of the array substrate 131. The orthographic projection of each first light-shielding strip 50 on the display surface covers the orthographic projection of a first gathering portion 50 on the display surface. This means that the number of first light-shielding strips 50 is the same as the number of first gathering portions 50.
[0069] In the array substrate 131 provided in this embodiment, the selected first traces 201 passing through the sensing component area C1 are grouped, and each group of selected first traces includes at least two adjacent selected first traces 201. Each selected first trace 201 in each group of selected first traces is brought together in the sensing component area C1 to form a first gathering portion 50. This is equivalent to bringing each selected first trace 201 in each group of selected first traces closer to each other in the sensing component area C1. This makes the two adjacent selected first traces 201 in each group of selected first traces closer in the sensing component area C1, while the two adjacent first gathering portions 50 are farther apart. The distance between the two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is larger than the distance between the two adjacent first traces 20 in the non-sensing component area C2.
[0070] Furthermore, by providing at least one first light-shielding strip 40, the gap between at least two adjacent selected first lines 201 in the first gathering portion 50 is blocked, preventing light from passing through these gaps and preventing optical diffraction when light passes through the gap between at least two adjacent selected first lines 201 in the first gathering portion 50.
[0071] In this way, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1 of the array substrate 131, the light passes through the space between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40. Since the distance between two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is larger than the distance between two adjacent first traces 20 in the non-sensing component area C2, that is, in the transparent sensing component area C1, the arrangement density of the multiple first gathering portions 50 formed after each selected first trace 201 of each set of selected first traces is gathered (equivalent to the arrangement density of multiple first shielding strips 40) is lower than the arrangement density when multiple first traces 20 are not gathered. Therefore, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the diffraction phenomenon is reduced, the influence of light diffraction on the light brightness is reduced, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2.
[0072] Taking the front-facing camera as an example, since the diffraction phenomenon is reduced when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the imaging effect of the front-facing camera is improved, and the brightness and clarity of the obtained image are greatly improved.
[0073] In some embodiments, referring again to FIG5A, in the transparent sensing component region C1 of the array substrate 131, the spacing a between two adjacent first convergence portions 50 is greater than the spacing b between two adjacent first traces located in the non-sensing component region C2. In each first convergence portion 50, the spacing c between two adjacent selected first traces 201 is less than the spacing b between two adjacent first traces located in the non-sensing component region C2.
[0074] In the above embodiment, the distance a between two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is greater than the distance b between two adjacent first traces 20 located in the non-sensing component area C2. The distance a between two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is the distance between the two closest first traces 20 located in the two adjacent first gathering portions 50. Thus, the distance a between two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is larger than the distance b between two adjacent first traces 20 located in the non-sensing component area C2. Correspondingly, the distance between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is larger than the distance between two adjacent first traces 20 located in the non-sensing component area C2. Thus, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the diffraction phenomenon is reduced.
[0075] Furthermore, in each first gathering portion 50, the distance c between two adjacent selected first lines 201 is smaller than the distance b between two adjacent first lines 20 in the non-sensing component area C2. Thus, in each first gathering portion 50, two adjacent selected first lines 201 are close to each other, making the dimension of the first gathering portion 50 in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the first gathering portion 50 (i.e., the width of the first gathering portion 50) smaller. This ensures that the distance between two adjacent first gathering portions 50 can be larger, thereby reducing the diffraction phenomenon of light. At the same time, the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 used to block the gap between at least two adjacent selected first lines 201 in the first gathering portion 50 is narrower, allowing more light to pass through.
[0076] In some embodiments, the number of selected first traces 201 included in each group of selected first traces is not limited. Each group of selected first traces may include two selected first traces 201, as shown in Figures 5A, 5B, and 6A-6C. Each group of selected first traces may also include more than two selected first traces 201. For example, the number of selected first traces 201 included in each group of selected first traces 201 is three, four, or five.
[0077] In some embodiments, the number of selected first routes 201 included in each group of selected first routes is the same.
[0078] For example, each group of selected first wirings includes two selected first wirings 201, or each group of selected first wirings includes three, four, or other numbers of selected first wirings 201. Figure 5A shows the case where each group of selected first wirings includes two selected first wirings 201. In this way, the widths of the multiple first gathering portions 50 corresponding to multiple groups of selected first wirings are equal or approximately equal, and the widths of the first light-shielding strips 40 are equal or approximately equal. This results in equal or approximately equal reduction of light diffraction in each region of the sensing component area C1, and uniform light transmission through each region of the sensing component area C1, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2.
[0079] In some embodiments, the spacing between any two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is equal; in each first gathering portion 50, the spacing between any two adjacent selected first routing lines 201 is equal.
[0080] For example, as shown in FIG5A, the spacing between any two adjacent first gathering portions 50 is 'a'. In each first gathering portion 50, when each group of selected first routes includes three or more selected first routes 201, the spacing between any two adjacent selected first routes 201 is equal.
[0081] With this design, since the spacing between each pair of adjacent first gathering portions 50 is equal, the spacing between each pair of adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is also equal or approximately equal. In each first gathering portion 50, the spacing between each pair of adjacent selected first routing lines 201 is equal, so that the width of multiple first gathering portions 50 is equal, and the width of multiple first light-shielding strips 40 is equal or approximately equal. This makes the reduction of light diffraction in each area of the sensing component area C1 equal or approximately equal, and the light passing through each area of the sensing component area C1 is more uniform, thereby making the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2 higher.
[0082] In some embodiments of this disclosure, by setting the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 and the spacing between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 within a suitable range, the mitigation effect on optical diffraction phenomena can be further improved.
[0083] It should be noted that, as shown in Figure 6A, the width d of the first light-shielding strip 40 refers to the dimension of a single first light-shielding strip 40 in a direction perpendicular to its extension direction; the spacing e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 refers to the distance between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 in a direction perpendicular to its extension direction. For example, when the extension direction of the first light-shielding strip 40 is a first direction, the width d of the first light-shielding strip 40 refers to the dimension of a single first light-shielding strip 40 in a direction perpendicular to the first direction; the spacing e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 refers to the distance between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 in a direction perpendicular to the first direction.
[0084] Furthermore, by setting the width of the first gathering part 50, the spacing between two adjacent first gathering parts 50, and the number of selected first lines 201 in a set of selected first lines corresponding to each first gathering part 50, the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 and the spacing between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 can be set.
[0085] Assume that the lower limit of the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is e1 and the upper limit is e2. By making the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 greater than or equal to its lower limit e1, optical diffraction phenomena that may occur when light passes through the gap between multiple first light-shielding strips 40 can be avoided due to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 being too small. By making the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 less than or equal to their upper limit e2, it is possible to avoid the number of first light-shielding strips 40 being too small due to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 being too large (when the area of the sensing component area C1 is fixed, if the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is too large, the number of first light-shielding strips 40 will decrease), thus reducing the number of first gathering portions 50 corresponding to the first light-shielding strips 40. For the array substrate 131, the number of first traces 20 is fixed, and the number of selected first traces 201 passing through the sensing component area C1 is also fixed. This will result in a large number of selected first traces 201 in each group corresponding to each first gathering portion 50, which may lead to mutual interference between the selected first traces 201 in each group of selected first traces, causing fluctuations and inaccuracies in the transmitted signal.
[0086] Furthermore, assuming the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 has a lower limit of d1 and an upper limit of d2. By making the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 greater than or equal to its lower limit d1, the problem that the width d of the first light-shielding strip 40 might be too small, potentially failing to effectively block the gap between two adjacent selected first traces 201 in the first gathering portion 50, can be avoided. By making the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 less than or equal to its upper limit d2, the problem that the width d of the first light-shielding strip 40 might be too large, potentially leading to too small a spacing e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40, thus causing optical diffraction and reducing the amount of light passing through, can be avoided.
[0087] Based on this, in some embodiments, the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5. For example, the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 can be 1 / 2 or 7.5 / 16.125, etc.
[0088] For example, when the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5, the sum f of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 is greater than or equal to 94.5 μm and less than or equal to 200 μm. For example, the sum f of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 can be 94.5 μm, 100 μm, or 200 μm, etc.
[0089] It should be noted that the two opposite sides of a first light-shielding strip 40 in the second direction may extend beyond the boundary defined by the two outermost selected first lines 201 of its corresponding first gathering portion 50, or may be aligned with the boundary defined by the two outermost selected first lines 201 of its corresponding first gathering portion 50.
[0090] In the above embodiments of this disclosure, by setting the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 to be greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5, and the sum of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 to be greater than or equal to 94.5 μm and less than or equal to 200 μm, it can be ensured that the optical diffraction phenomenon is further reduced when light passes through the sensing component area C1, thereby making the light information sensed by the sensing component 2 more accurate.
[0091] When the sensing component 2 is a front-facing camera, the inventors of this disclosure have verified through experiments that setting the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 to 7.5 / 16.125, and setting the sum of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 to 94.5μm, effectively reduces the diffraction phenomenon of light when the front-facing camera acquires an image, resulting in a higher clarity of the captured image.
[0092] In the array substrate 131 provided in some embodiments of this disclosure, since thin-film transistors are provided in some locations and not in others along the extension direction of the first light-shielding strip 90, the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 varies along its extension direction in some embodiments. For example, the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 is wider where thin-film transistors are provided and narrower where thin-film transistors are not provided. Thus, at locations where the width of the first light-shielding strip 40 is narrower, the spacing between adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 increases, allowing more light to pass through the sensing element region C1 and be sensed by the sensing element 2.
[0093] It should be noted that when the widths of the first light-shielding strips 40 are not the same, the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 refers to the distance between the same position of the two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the first light-shielding strip 40.
[0094] In other embodiments, the width of the same first light-shielding strip 40 is the same everywhere. This simplifies the fabrication process of the first light-shielding strip 40 and improves fabrication efficiency. In some examples, when the width of the same first light-shielding strip 40 is the same everywhere, the spacing between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 may be the same or different. In other examples, when the width of each first light-shielding strip 40 is the same everywhere, the width of multiple first light-shielding strips 40 is all the same. This simplifies the process steps and reduces the process difficulty when fabricating the first light-shielding strip 40.
[0095] When the widths of the multiple first light-shielding strips 40 are all the same, the number of multiple selected first lines 201 corresponding to each first gathering part 50 can be set to be equal, and the spacing between two adjacent selected first lines 201 in each group of selected first lines can be set to be equal. This makes the degree of mutual influence between multiple selected first lines 201 in each group of selected first lines the same, so that the influence of multiple groups of selected first lines 201 in the sensing component area C1 on the transmitted light is the same, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information collected by the sensing component 2.
[0096] In some embodiments, a first trace 20 includes one or more first sub-traces 20a. For example, as shown in FIG5A, a first trace 20 includes one first sub-traces 20a. As shown in FIG7, a first trace 20 includes two first sub-traces 20a. When a first trace 20 includes multiple first sub-traces 20a, adjacent first sub-traces 20a are spaced apart from each other. Since the selected first trace 201 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple first traces 20 of the array substrate 131, the foregoing embodiments are also applicable to each selected first trace 201.
[0097] In some embodiments, when the first direction is the column direction, the first sub-trace 20a included in a first trace 20 is at least one of a data line, an initialization signal line, a first power line (Vdd line), a second power line (Vss line), etc. In other embodiments, when the first direction is the row direction, the first sub-trace 20a included in a first trace 20 is at least one of a gate line, a control line, a common voltage signal line, etc. Since the selected first trace 201 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple first traces 20 of the array substrate 131, the foregoing embodiments are also applicable to each selected first trace 201.
[0098] In some embodiments, when a first trace 20 includes multiple first sub-traces 20a, the types of the first sub-traces 20a included in the first trace 20 may be the same or different. For example, a first trace 20 may include two data lines. Another example is that a first trace 20 may include one data line and one Vdd line. Since the selected first trace 201 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple first traces of the array substrate, the foregoing embodiments are equally applicable to each selected first trace 201.
[0099] In some embodiments, a column of subpixels is coupled to a first trace 20. In this case, if a pixel 10 includes at least one subpixel, then a column of pixels corresponds to at least one first trace. For example, as shown in FIG. 5A, if a pixel 10 includes one subpixel, then a column of pixels corresponds to one first trace 20. As shown in FIG. 7, if a pixel includes two subpixels, then a column of pixels corresponds to two first traces 20. As another example, if a pixel includes three subpixels, then a column of pixels corresponds to three first traces 20. Since the selected first trace 201 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple first traces of the array substrate, the foregoing embodiments are also applicable to each selected first trace 201.
[0100] For example, when a column of subpixels is coupled to a first trace 20, the number of subpixels included in a pixel 10 is related to the number of data lines included in the first trace 20 coupled to that pixel 10. For instance, if a pixel 10 includes one subpixel, then the first trace 20 coupled to that pixel 10 includes one data line; if a pixel 10 includes two subpixels, then the first trace 20 coupled to that pixel 10 includes two data lines; if a pixel 10 includes three subpixels, then the first trace 20 coupled to that pixel 10 includes three data lines.
[0101] Based on the above, please refer to Figure 7 again. When a column of pixels corresponds to at least two first lines 20, in each column of pixels passing through the sensing component area C1, the selected first lines 201 corresponding to the same column of pixels can be gathered into the same gathering part 50. This makes the distribution of lines in the sensing component area C1 more regular and further reduces the degree of light diffraction passing through the area.
[0102] Referring again to Figure 4B, the array substrate also includes multiple second traces 30 along a second direction, which intersects the first direction. In the sensing element region C1, the arrangement of the multiple second traces 30 extending along the second direction is also relatively dense, with a small spacing between adjacent second traces 30. Especially for display devices with high PPI, the arrangement density of the second traces 30 is even greater. Thus, during the transmission of light through the sensing element region C1 between the display surface of the display panel 13 and the sensing element 2, due to the small spacing between adjacent second traces 30, diffraction may occur when light propagates through the gap between adjacent first traces 30, thereby affecting the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing element 2.
[0103] Based on this, in some embodiments, as shown in Figures 8A and 8B, the array substrate 131 provided in some embodiments of this disclosure further includes multiple second traces 30 extending along a second direction and at least one second light-shielding strip 60. The first and second directions intersect, for example, the first and second directions are perpendicular to each other, or the included angle between the first and second directions is an acute angle. In the figures provided in this disclosure, the perpendicularity of the first and second directions is used as an example.
[0104] The plurality of second lines 30 are arranged at intervals. Among the plurality of second lines 30, the line passing through the sensing component area C1 is the selected second line 301. The plurality of selected second lines 301 are divided into at least one group. Each group of selected second lines includes at least two adjacent selected second lines 301. Each selected second line 301 in each group of selected second lines converges in the sensing component area C1 to form a second convergence part 70.
[0105] For example, as shown in Figure 8A, the second traces numbered T1 to T4 are selected second traces 301. Multiple selected second traces 301 can be divided into two groups. Each group of selected second traces includes two adjacent selected second traces 301. The two selected second traces 301 included in each group converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a second convergence portion 70. Thus, the two groups of selected second traces 301 converge in the sensing component area C1 to form two second convergence portions 70.
[0106] For example, referring again to Figure 8A, the selected second lines 301, numbered T1 and T2, are a group of selected second lines, which converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a second convergence portion 70; the selected second lines 301, numbered T3 and T4, are also a group of selected second lines, which converge in the sensing component area C1 to form a second convergence portion 70. Taking the two selected second lines 301, numbered T1 and T2, as an example, the selected second line 301 numbered T2 includes a first portion extending along a second direction and a second portion extending along a first direction. The first portion and the second portion are alternately arranged and connected end-to-end. Through this structure, the selected second line 301 numbered T2 converges towards the selected second line 301 numbered T1 in the sensing component area C1, forming a second convergence portion 70. This can be understood as follows: the second gathering section 70 includes the portion of the selected second line 301, numbered T1, located in the sensing component area C1, and the portion of the selected second line 301, numbered T2, located in the sensing component area C1. The structure of the other second gathering section 70 is similar to that of the aforementioned second gathering section 70, and will not be described again here.
[0107] As shown in Figures 9A to 9C, at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 30 away from or close to the display surface of the array substrate 131, and the orthographic projection of each second light-shielding strip 60 on the display surface (i.e. the side of the array substrate 131 configured for display when applied in the display panel) covers the orthographic projection of a second folding portion 70 on the display surface.
[0108] The present invention does not limit the position of the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 relative to the plurality of second traces 30, as long as the orthographic projection of each second light-shielding strip 60 on the display surface of the array substrate 131 covers the orthographic projection of a second gathering portion 70 on the display surface. In this way, a second light-shielding strip 60 can block the gap between at least two adjacent selected second traces 301 in a second gathering portion 70, preventing light from passing through the gap between the selected second traces 301 in the second gathering portion 70 and causing diffraction.
[0109] For example, FIG9B shows the case where the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 30 near the display surface of the array substrate 131, wherein the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 30 away from the substrate 80; FIG9C shows the case where the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 30 away from the display surface of the array substrate 131, wherein the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 30 near the substrate 80.
[0110] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG9B, at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of selected first traces 201 near the display surface of the array substrate 131. In this way, the fabrication of the second light-shielding strip 60 can be compatible with the fabrication process of the light-shielding pattern for blocking the active layer of the thin-film transistor in the array substrate 131, without the need for an additional step for fabricating the second light-shielding strip 60, thus simplifying the fabrication process of the array substrate 131.
[0111] Please refer to Figure 8B. The at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is disposed on the side of the plurality of second traces 301 away from or close to the display surface of the array substrate 131. The orthographic projection of each second light-shielding strip 60 on the display surface covers the orthographic projection of a second gathering portion 70 on the display surface. This means that the number of second light-shielding strips 60 is the same as the number of second gathering portions 70.
[0112] In the array substrate 131 provided in this embodiment, the selected second traces 301 passing through the sensing component area C1 are grouped, and each group of selected second traces includes at least two adjacent selected second traces 301. Each selected second trace 301 in each group of selected second traces is brought together in the sensing component area C1 to form a second convergence portion 70. This is equivalent to bringing each selected second trace 301 in each group of selected second traces closer to each other in the sensing component area. This makes the two adjacent selected second traces 301 in each group of selected second traces closer in the sensing component area C1, while the two adjacent second convergence portions 70 are farther apart. The distance between the two adjacent second convergence portions 70 is larger than the distance between the two adjacent second traces 30 in the non-sensing component area C2.
[0113] Furthermore, by providing at least one second light-shielding strip 60, the gaps between at least two adjacent selected second lines 301 in the second gathering portion 70 are blocked, preventing light from passing through these gaps and preventing optical diffraction when light passes through the gaps between at least two adjacent selected second lines 301 in the second gathering portion 70.
[0114] In this way, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1 of the array substrate 131, the light passes through the space between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60. Since the distance between two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is larger than the distance between two adjacent second lines 30 in the non-sensing component area C2, that is, in the transparent sensing component area C1, the arrangement density of the multiple second gathering portions 70 formed after each selected second line 301 of each set of selected second lines is gathered (equivalent to the arrangement density of multiple second light-shielding strips 60) is lower than the arrangement density when multiple second lines 30 are not gathered. Therefore, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the diffraction phenomenon is further reduced, the influence of light diffraction on the light brightness is reduced, thereby further improving the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2.
[0115] Taking the front-facing camera as an example, since the diffraction phenomenon is further reduced when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the imaging effect of the front-facing camera is further improved, and the brightness and clarity of the obtained image are better.
[0116] In some embodiments, referring again to FIG8A, in the transparent sensing component region C1 of the array substrate 131, the spacing g between two adjacent second convergence portions 70 is greater than the spacing k between two adjacent second traces 30 located in the non-sensing component region C2. In each second convergence portion 70, the spacing h between two adjacent selected second traces 301 is less than the spacing k between two adjacent second traces 30 located in the non-sensing component region C2.
[0117] In the above embodiment, the distance g between two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is greater than the distance k between two adjacent second lines 30 located in the non-sensing component area C2. The distance g between two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is the distance between the two closest second lines 30 located in the two adjacent second gathering portions 70. Thus, the distance g between two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is larger than the distance k between two adjacent second lines 30 located in the non-sensing component area C2. Correspondingly, the distance between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is larger than the distance between two adjacent second lines 30 located in the non-sensing component area C1. Thus, when light passes through the transparent sensing component area C1, the diffraction phenomenon is reduced.
[0118] Furthermore, in each second gathering portion 70, the distance h between two adjacent selected second lines 301 is smaller than the distance k between two adjacent second lines 30 located in the non-sensing component area C2. In this way, in each second gathering portion 70, two adjacent selected second lines 301 are close to each other, making the dimension of the second gathering portion 70 in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the second gathering portion 70 (i.e., the width of the second gathering portion 70) smaller. This ensures that the distance between two adjacent second gathering portions 70 can be larger, thereby further reducing the diffraction phenomenon of light. At the same time, the width of the second light-shielding strip 60 used to block the gap between at least two adjacent selected second lines 301 in the second gathering portion 70 is narrower, thus allowing more light to pass through.
[0119] In some embodiments, the number of selected second routes 301 included in each group of selected second routes is not limited, and each group of selected second routes may include two selected second routes 301; Figures 8A, 8B, and 9A-9C illustrate this situation; each group of selected second routes may also include more than two selected second routes 301. For example, the number of selected second routes 301 included in each group of selected second routes 301 is three, four, or five.
[0120] In some embodiments, the number of selected second routes 301 included in each group of selected second routes is the same.
[0121] For example, each group of selected second traces 301 may include two selected second traces 301, or each group of selected second traces 301 may include three, four, or other numbers of selected second traces 301. Figure 8A shows an array substrate illustrated with each group of selected second traces 301 including two selected second traces 301. This allows the widths of the multiple second gathering portions 70 corresponding to multiple groups of selected second traces 301 to be equal or approximately equal, and the widths of the second light-shielding strips 60 to be equal or approximately equal. This results in equal or approximately equal reduction in light diffraction in each region of the sensing element area C1, and uniform light transmission through each region of the sensing element area C1, thereby increasing the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing element 2.
[0122] In some embodiments, the spacing between any two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is equal; and in each second gathering portion 70, the spacing between any two adjacent selected second lines is equal.
[0123] For example, as shown in FIG8A, the spacing between any two adjacent second gathering portions 70 is g. In each second gathering portion 70, when each group of selected second routing lines includes three or more selected second routing lines 301, the spacing between any two adjacent selected second routing lines 301 is equal.
[0124] With this design, since the spacing between each pair of adjacent second gathering portions 70 is equal, the spacing between each pair of adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is also equal or approximately equal. In each second gathering portion 70, the spacing between each pair of adjacent selected second routing lines 301 is equal, so that the width of multiple second gathering portions 70 is equal, and the width of the second light-shielding strips 60 is equal or approximately equal. This makes the reduction of light diffraction in each area of the sensing component area C1 equal or approximately equal, and the light passing through each area of the sensing component area C1 is more uniform, thereby making the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2 higher.
[0125] In some embodiments of this disclosure, by setting the width of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 within a suitable range, the mitigation effect on optical diffraction phenomena can be further improved.
[0126] It should be noted that, as shown in Figure 9A, the width *m* of the second light-shielding strip 60 refers to the dimension of one second light-shielding strip 60 in the direction perpendicular to its extension direction; the spacing *p* between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 refers to the spacing between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 in the direction perpendicular to its extension direction. For example, when the extension direction of the second light-shielding strip 60 is the first direction, the width *d* of the second light-shielding strip 60 refers to the dimension of one second light-shielding strip 60 in the direction perpendicular to the first direction, and the spacing *p* between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 refers to the spacing between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 in the direction perpendicular to the first direction.
[0127] Furthermore, by setting the width of the second gathering portion 70, the spacing between two adjacent second gathering portions 70, and the number of selected first lines 301 in a set of selected second lines corresponding to each second gathering portion 70, the width of the second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 can be set.
[0128] Assume that the lower limit of the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is p1 and the upper limit is p2.
[0129] By making the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 greater than or equal to its lower limit p1, optical diffraction phenomena that may occur when light passes through the space between multiple second light-shielding strips 60 due to the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 being too small can be avoided. By making the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 less than or equal to their upper limit p2, it is possible to avoid the number of second light-shielding strips 60 being too small due to the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 being too large (when the area of the sensing component area C1 is fixed, if the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is too large, the number of second light-shielding strips 60 will decrease), thereby reducing the number of second gathering portions 70 corresponding to the second light-shielding strips 60. However, for the array substrate 131, the number of second traces 30 is fixed, and the number of selected second traces 301 passing through the sensing component area C1 is also fixed. This will result in a large number of selected second traces 301 in each group corresponding to each second gathering portion 70, which may lead to mutual interference between the selected second traces 301 in each group of selected second traces, causing fluctuations and inaccuracies in the transmitted signal.
[0130] Furthermore, assuming the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 has a lower limit of m1 and an upper limit of m2, by making the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 greater than or equal to its lower limit m1, the problem that the width m of the second light-shielding strip 60 might be too small, potentially failing to effectively block the gap between two adjacent selected second traces 301 in the second gathering portion 70, can be avoided. By making the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 less than or equal to its upper limit m2, the problem that the width m of the second light-shielding strip 60 might be too large, potentially leading to too small a spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60, thus causing optical diffraction and reducing the amount of light passing through, can be avoided.
[0131] Based on this, in some embodiments, the ratio of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 to the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5. For example, the ratio of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 to the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 can be 1 / 2 or 7.5 / 16.125, etc.
[0132] For example, when the ratio of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 to the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5, the sum of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 (pitch) n is greater than or equal to 94.5 μm and less than or equal to 200 μm. For example, the sum of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 (pitch) n can be 94.5 μm, 100 μm, or 200 μm, etc.
[0133] It should be noted that the two sides of a second light-shielding strip 60 in the first direction may extend beyond the boundary defined by the two outermost selected second lines 301 of its corresponding second gathering portion 70, or may be aligned with the boundary defined by the two outermost selected second lines 301 of its corresponding second gathering portion 70.
[0134] In the above embodiments of this disclosure, by setting the ratio of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 to the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 to be greater than 0 and less than or equal to 0.5, and the sum n of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 to be greater than or equal to 94.5 μm and less than or equal to 200 μm, it can be ensured that the optical diffraction phenomenon is further reduced when light passes through the sensing component area C1, thereby making the light information sensed by the sensing component 2 more accurate.
[0135] In some embodiments, the ratio of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 to the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 may be equal to or unequal to the ratio of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 to the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40; the sum n of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 and the sum f of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40 may be equal to or unequal to the sum n of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the distance p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 and the sum f of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the distance e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40. For example, when the size of the pixel region of the array substrate 131 in the first direction is smaller than the size in the second direction, the sum of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60, n, is greater than the sum of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the spacing e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40, f. For example, in this case, the sum of the width m of a second light-shielding strip 60 and the spacing p between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60, n, is 180 μm, and the sum of the width d of a first light-shielding strip 40 and the spacing e between two adjacent first light-shielding strips 40, f, is 120 μm.
[0136] In the array substrate 131 provided in some embodiments of this disclosure, since thin-film transistors are provided in some locations and not in others along the extension direction of the second light-shielding strip 60, the width of the second light-shielding strip 60 varies along its extension direction in some embodiments. For example, the width of the second light-shielding strip 60 is wider where thin-film transistors are provided and narrower where thin-film transistors are not provided. Thus, at the narrower locations of the second light-shielding strip 60, the spacing between adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 increases, allowing more light to pass through the sensing element region C1 and be sensed by the sensing element 2.
[0137] It should be noted that when the widths of the second light-shielding strips 60 are not the same, the distance k between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 refers to the distance between the same position of the two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the second light-shielding strip 60.
[0138] In other embodiments, the width of the same second light-shielding strip 60 is the same everywhere. This simplifies the fabrication process of the second light-shielding strip 60 and improves fabrication efficiency. In some examples, when the width of the same second light-shielding strip 60 is the same everywhere, the spacing between two adjacent second light-shielding strips 60 may be the same or different. For example, when the width of each second light-shielding strip 60 is the same everywhere, multiple second light-shielding strips 60 have the same width. This simplifies the process steps and reduces the process difficulty when fabricating the second light-shielding strip 60.
[0139] When the widths of the multiple second light-shielding strips 60 are all the same, the number of multiple selected second lines 301 corresponding to each second gathering part 70 can be set to be equal, and the spacing between two adjacent selected second lines 301 in each group of selected second lines can be set to be equal. This makes the degree of mutual influence between the multiple selected second lines 301 in each group of selected second lines the same, so that the influence of multiple groups of selected second lines 301 in the sensing component area C1 on the transmitted light is the same, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information collected by the sensing component 2.
[0140] In some embodiments, a second trace 30 includes one or more second sub-traces 30a. For example, as shown in FIG8A, a second trace 30 includes one second sub-traces 30a. As shown in FIG7, a second trace 30 includes two second sub-traces 30a. When a second trace 30 includes multiple second sub-traces 30a, adjacent second sub-traces 30a are spaced apart from each other. Since the selected second trace 301 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple second traces 30 of the array substrate 131, the foregoing embodiments are equally applicable to each selected second trace 301.
[0141] In some embodiments, a second trace 30 includes one or more second sub-traces 30a.
[0142] In some embodiments, when the second direction is the row direction, the second sub-trace 30a included in a second trace 30 is at least one of a gate line, a control line, a common signal line (Com line), etc. In other embodiments, when the second direction is the column direction, the second sub-trace 30a included in a second trace 30 is at least one of a data line, an initialization signal line, a first power line (Vdd line), a second power line (Vss line), etc. Since the selected second trace 301 is the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple second traces 30 of the array substrate 131, the foregoing embodiments are also applicable to each selected second trace 301.
[0143] In some embodiments, when a second trace 30 includes multiple second sub-traces 30a, the types of the second sub-traces 30a included in the second trace 30 may be the same or different. For example, a second trace 30 may include two gate lines. Another example is that a second trace 30 may include one gate line and one Vss line. Since the first trace 201 is selected as the trace passing through the sensing component region C1 among the multiple second traces 30 of the array substrate 131, the foregoing embodiments are equally applicable to each selected second trace 301.
[0144] In some embodiments, the number of first sub-routes 20a included in a first trace 20 is the same as the number of second sub-routes 30a included in a second trace 30. For example, the number of first sub-routes 20a included in a first trace 20 and the number of second sub-routes 30a included in a second trace 30 are both 2. In other embodiments, the number of first sub-routes 20a included in a first trace 20 and the number of second sub-routes 30a included in a second trace 30 are different.
[0145] In some embodiments, at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and at least one second light-shielding strip 60 of the array substrate 131 may be located in the same film layer and made of the same material. This allows the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 to be formed in the same fabrication process, thereby simplifying the fabrication process and saving process steps. Furthermore, the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 may be formed in the same layer as the light-shielding pattern in the array substrate 131 used to shield the active layer of the thin-film transistor. This allows the fabrication of the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 to be compatible with the fabrication process of the light-shielding pattern, eliminating the need for additional steps for fabricating the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding strip 60, further simplifying the fabrication process of the array substrate.
[0146] In this embodiment, the materials of the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 are not limited, as long as they can provide light shielding. For example, the materials of the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the at least one second light-shielding layer 60 are both opaque materials such as black ink, black resin, or metal. When the material of the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 is a conductive material such as metal, an insulating layer is provided between the at least one first light-shielding strip 40 and the plurality of selected first traces 201 of the array substrate 131 to prevent electrical connection between them; when the material of the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 is a conductive material such as metal, an insulating layer is provided between the at least one second light-shielding strip 60 and the plurality of selected second traces 301 to prevent electrical connection between them.
[0147] As shown in Figures 3A and 3B, some embodiments of this disclosure provide a display panel 13, which includes an array substrate 131 as described in any of the above embodiments.
[0148] The display panel 13 provided in this embodiment can be a liquid crystal display (LCD); an organic light-emitting display (OLED); or a quantum dot light-emitting display (QLED).
[0149] When the display panel 13 is a liquid crystal display panel, the display panel 13 includes an array substrate 131, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the color filter substrate and the array substrate 131.
[0150] When the display panel 13 is an organic electroluminescent display panel or a quantum dot electroluminescent display panel, the display panel 13 includes an array substrate 131 and an encapsulation layer for encapsulating the array substrate 131. The array substrate 131 includes thin-film transistors and light-emitting devices, and the light-emitting devices include an anode, a light-emitting layer, and a cathode. The encapsulation layer can be a thin-film encapsulation layer or a substrate encapsulation layer.
[0151] As shown in Figure 4A, the display panel 13 provided in this embodiment of the present disclosure has a sensing component area C1 and a non-sensing component area C2. The non-sensing component area C2 has a display function, and the sensing component area C1 is transparent and has a display function. As can be seen from the above embodiments, since the sensing component area C1 of the array substrate 131 of the display panel 13 is designed to be converged through the first trace 20 (or the first trace 20 and the second trace 30) of the sensing component area C1, the distance between two adjacent first converged portions 50 (or two adjacent first converged portions 50 and two adjacent second converged portions 70) is increased. As a result, when light passes through the sensing component area C1, the diffraction phenomenon of light is reduced, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information sensed by the sensing component 2.
[0152] Please continue to refer to Figure 4A. In some embodiments, the display panel 13 may also have a non-display area D, which may be, for example, a border.
[0153] As shown in Figures 3A and 3B, some embodiments of this disclosure provide a display device 300, which includes a display panel 13 and at least one sensing component 2. The display panel 13 is the same as the display panel 13 provided in the above embodiments.
[0154] The at least one sensing element 2 is disposed on the non-display surface side of the display panel 13, and the orthographic projection of the at least one sensing element 2 on the display panel 13 is located within the sensing element area C1 of the display panel 13. Furthermore, the sensing surface of each sensing element 2 faces the display surface side of the display panel 13. Exemplarily, the at least one sensing element 2 includes one or more of a front-facing camera, a light sensor, a 3D sensing module, etc.
[0155] For example, when the sensing component 2 includes a front-facing camera, the photosensitive surface of the front-facing camera faces the display surface side of the display panel 13 to capture an image of the object to be photographed located on the front (i.e., display surface side) of the display device 300 through the sensing component area C1 of the display panel 13. When the sensing component 2 includes a light sensor, the photosensitive surface of the light sensor faces the display surface side of the display panel 13 to sense light from the front (i.e., display surface side) of the display device 300 through the sensing component area C1 of the display panel 13. When the sensing component 2 includes a 3D sensing module, the light-emitting surface and the photosensitive surface of the 3D sensing module face the display surface side of the display panel 13 to emit light through the sensing component area C1 of the display panel 13 onto the object located on the front (i.e., display surface side) of the display device 300 and receive the light reflected back by the object, thereby realizing the sensing of the 3D spatial structure of the object.
[0156] In the aforementioned display device 300, light passes through the sensing element area C1 of the display panel 13 with little or no diffraction, thereby improving the accuracy of the light information sensed by the at least one sensing element 2. For example, when the at least one sensing element 2 includes a front-facing camera, the captured image has higher brightness and better clarity.
[0157] In the aforementioned display device 300, the area facing the sensing component 2, such as the front-facing camera, i.e., the sensing component area C1, has high light transmittance and low optical diffraction. Therefore, when the display device 300 is applied to terminals such as mobile phones and tablets, it can greatly improve the screen ratio of the terminal screen and achieve full-screen display. Moreover, the light-sensing effect of the sensing component 2 is not affected by light diffraction or is only slightly affected by light diffraction.
